JAY TORRES

Owner & CEO of Hella Kulit

Hey Kulit Fam! My name is Jay and I am the owner of Hella Kulit! I'm a Filipino American born and raised in San Diego, CA. My mom is from Pampanga and my dad is from Manila. I started this company as a simple hobby and to rediscover my Filipino roots, not knowing it would blow up to what it is today! I wanted to start a brand that reflected my Filipino heritage, my personality and interests, and something that felt nostalgic for most Filipinos growing up. Like most, the word "makulit" always reminded me of my childhood - making trouble to my mom and having a laugh from being that kulit or pesky little kid haha. I wanted to create a brand that every Filipino (and even non-Filipino) could relate to, no matter their background or where they grew up.

I've been in business and entrepreneurship since I was 16 years old and I fully enjoy the ride of learning more, and helping others start their own journeys! I'm also a piano teacher and love to spend my free-time making music, learning more about cars (not just how to break them LOL), and spending time with the fam bam. You'll rarely ever see me on any of our social media platforms since I prefer to be behind the camera or doing the techy stuff behind the scenes!

Hoy, I'm Josh. AKA JBOI92! I'm from the beautiful city of Seattle, WA. Absolutely my interests are cars, but I do love photography. I play paintball for my hobbies and sports. RECOMMEND TRYING IT OUT! Once in awhile I will play with my ukulele. I'm a multi hobbies guy, and I'm a straight up pyrohead when it comes to fireworks. The reason why I enjoy being part of Hella Kulit is because of the friendship in the brand. Hella Kulit makes sure you're part of a clothing brand that takes care of each other. Hella Kulit is a prime example of repping Filipino pride. I am glad and happy to be apart of every part of it.

KALEB CORPUZ

Hi! My name is Kaleb aka (XTRAFLUFF). I am from Seattle, WA. Along with cars, I love to go Paintball with my brother whenever we have the extra time. I am also big on fireworks. My brother and I are usually really active on fireworks during June-July 5th. I get on the PS5 when I can and I’m also trying to find some new games to play so if you have any recommendations then let me know! I also love to cook, especially on the grill. If I’m not doing anything, I’m most likely being lazy watching K-dramas or just hanging out with my family. I love being a part of the HK fam because for one, even though not all of us are in the same state, we all have the same love on why we are supporting Hella Kulit and why we continue to do so. Secondly, there’s a lot of great people repping and want to help Hella Kulit grow, and you feel like you can just be part of that experience with open arms. Lastly, who wouldn’t want to support a brand that has started so little and that is now a trademarked brand. There are so many opportunities just by being an ambassador and Jay always makes it so everyone has an opportunity if they want to continue to grow. Kamusta, It's the black and Filipino, Kuya Jordan. I was born in the Philippines and raised in Tampa, Florida. I am currently serving in the United States Army. My current job is a 15F aircraft electrician but I am in school at the moment to change my job to a respiratory therapist 68V. I enjoy working out after class/work and finding a group to play some football with on the weekends. I enjoy playing all kinds of sports. What’s good kapamilya? I’m Ronron, born and raised out of California. Currently working as a Super hornet structural mechanic out of Nevada. I go back and forth between Nevada and California for work and pleasure. I’ve always been into cars, but besides cars, you can catch me talking about motorcycles, raves, anime and all things Japan. Honestly, being part of the Hella Kulit fam is one of my greatest pleasures because not only does it involve the car community, but it helps us bring our roots into it because what’s a Filipino without pride really?
